Q. Why are the course costs so low?
A. I reduce administrative cost by using the latest technology to electronically administer courses, score tests, and provide your certificate of completion.



Q.  What are the step by step instructions for purchasing and taking courses?

A.  Step by Step Instructions for purchasing and taking courses:

  • Register / Create Your Account
  • From the 'COURSES' page, choose the courses you would like to purchase and add them to your cart.
  • Check Out.  Purchase your courses using the online security of PayPal.  If you do not have or do not want to use a PayPal account, look for the Continue link to continue with out logging in.  You will be able to make your purchase without using a PayPal account.
    • Be sure to click "Return To www.CELMT.com" when your transaction is complete so your courses will be added to your account.
    • This usually happens instantly, but can sometimes take up to 30 minutes.
    • Please also note that PayPal's generic wording after purchase says "your items will be shipped", however, nothing will be shipped to you.
    • Your courses are available to you online.  Your purchase is complete.  Thank you!
  • Click on 'My Account' that appears in the left margin. You will see your account page with your courses listed.
    • Or when you return to www.CELMT.com, log in using the email address and password that you used to register. You will see your account page with your courses listed
  • Click on the course you would like to begin, this will open the page for online view of course material and exam.
  • Read course material and exam questions. You can take as long you need to start and finish courses.  However, it your browser times out, your answers will not be saved.  Be sure refresh your browser before beginning your exams.
  • Select answers and submit for grading. You will have 2 chances to receive a passing score of 70% or above.
  • Please fill out the course evaluation and submit. Your Feedback Is Very Important.
  • Return to "My Account' for your score and to print/save your Certificate.

 

Q.  IF I am licensed in a state other that FL, can I still purchase the FL Course Pkg and take advantage of the savings?

A.  Yes.  You can purchase the FL Course Pkg and take advantage of these savings.  However, you do not have to take the FL Laws and Rules Course; this course will simply remain unused in your account.

 

 Q.  Is my personal and payment information safe with PayPal?
A.  Absolutely. PayPal offers powerful data encyption, monitoring of sensitive information to help you avoid identity theft, and prevention to help stop fraud. No one will have access to your personal or payment information at any time. 

 

Q.  Is there a time limit from the time I purchase a course(s) to when I complete it/them?
A.  No.  However, we do recommend that you complete all courses as quickly as you can. We are not liable if courses you purchased months ago no longer meet your requirement needs.   Licensing requirements are subject to be updated and/or changed regularly.  Please stay informed of your state’s licensing renewal requirements.

 

Q.  How is the course material and exam presented?
A.  The course material and exam questions will be displayed on your computer screen.  We recommend being "Earth Friendly" and reading the course material on your computer.   If for some reason you are not able to, you can print the course material.  All exams are taken and submitted  for online grading.

 

Q.  Will I be able to review and change my answers to the exam questions before submitting them?
A.  Yes.

 

Q. What if I have to stop in the middle of an exam or if I lose my Internet connection while I'm taking a test?
A.  Your answers will be automatically saved and you can come back to your unfinished exam at any time.  Simply log-In and resume the exam where you left off. 



Q. What if I don't pass a test?
A. This won’t happen.  These courses are not designed to be difficult or tricky.  You will have access to the course material as well as the exam questions. (please feel free to refer to the text while answering questions).  Each exam may be taken up to 2 times. After submitting an exam for scoring, if you do not achieve a passing score, you will be directed to retake the exam.

 

Q. How soon will I receive my CE certificate for the course?
A. When you submit your test for grading, and you have a passing score, your certificate is available immediately.  You can print or save your certificate.



Q.  What is your refund policy?
A.   If for any reason you are unable to complete your online courses, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to receive a full refund on all courses in which you have not submitted an exam for grading.

 

Q.  Will my personal information be kept private?
A.  Yes.  Rest assured all of your information will be kept private.   In compliance with the NCBTMB requirements, your information will be kept in a password protected file on a password protected computer.  We will not sell, rent or share your email address with anyone at any time!

 

Q.  What are the Florida State and NCBTMB CE renewal requirements?

24 Continuing Education Hours

  • Mandatory Courses:
    • 2 CE hours Florida State Laws and Rules
    • 2 CE hours Prevention of Medical Errors
    • HIV/AIDS Overview and Universal Precautions
    • 2 CE hours Ethics
  • 12 CE hours live classroom which includes hands on instruction relevant to massage modality
  • 6 CE hours elective study; 6 hrs Mandatory Courses:  live classroom or home study

NCBTMB Requirements for National Certification Renewal

Renewal period is every 4 years:
48 Continuing Education Hours

  • Mandatory Course Hours
    • 6 CE hours Professional Ethics - Including 2 CE hours of Standard V:  Roles and Boundaries
  • 42 CE hours elective study

 

Q.  Will my state accept these courses for my continuing education license renew requirements?
A.  All of the courses offered on this website are approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as well as the Florida State Board of Massage Therapy.  These courses are accepted in all states for national certification renewal.   Most states do accept NCBTMB approved courses for continuing education license renew requirements.  However, there are a few states which do not.  Outside of the state of Florida, please check your state’s licensing renewal requirements to make sure these courses will be accepted for your license renewal.  

 

Q.  Do you submit my continuing education credits to Florida CE Broker?
A. Yes.  Your continuing education credits will be posted to the Florida CE Broker.  Credits are posted using your license number; it is imperative that you register your license number correctly, and in the correct format:  MA99999 no spaces, no symbols, no preceding zeros.  (For all states other than FL, your CE credits will be stored in our data base.)  The Florida State Laws and Rules allow all CE providers 90 days to post completed courses to the CE Broker.  Your courses do not have to be posted to the CE Broker in order to submit your application for license renewal.  You can submit your application as soon as you have completed all renewal requirements.

 

Q.  My order was declined. Now what?
A. www.CELMT.com does not approve or decline any orders. Only the bank that issued your credit card can do that. When a charge is declined, it is usually because your contact information on file with the credit card company differs from that which you entered when attempting to purchase your course. Either that or the credit card number or expiration date was entered incorrectly. Update your information with the credit card company and place your order with us again.

 

Q.  Can I copy your course material to teach or distribute to others?
A.  No. All the course material offered on this website is copyrighted. All rights are reserved.

 

Q.  How can I update my personal contact information with you?
A. Log into the site using the UserID and Password that you registered with www.CELMT.com. Then click on  'My Account'; you can update all of the registration information.
